Asking prices

Returns aggregate asking-price statistics for active listings in a UK postcode or outcode. Use it to anchor a valuation against what comparable stock is currently being marketed at, before you look at what has actually sold (see the sold prices endpoint). GET /api/v1/prices

Authenticate with a paid API key (Authorization: Bearer paid_your_key). The endpoint also accepts a logged-in Clerk session when called from the dashboard. Anonymous requests are rejected.

Query parameters

`area`	string	The postcode or outcode the aggregate was computed for.
`basis`	string	Always `asking` for this endpoint (active listings, not sold).
`sample_size`	integer	Number of active listings in the aggregate.
`average_price`	number	Mean asking price in £.
`median_price`	number	Median asking price in £.
`p25_price`	number	25th-percentile asking price in £.
`p75_price`	number	75th-percentile asking price in £.
`bedrooms`	integer \| null	Echoes the `bedrooms` filter, or `null` if not supplied.
`property_type`	string \| null	Echoes the `type` filter, or `null` if not supplied.

Asking prices reflect what sellers are marketing at, not what buyers pay. For realised values, pair this with the sold prices endpoint, which uses HM Land Registry data. Small samples (sample_size below ~20) are noisier — widen to the outcode if the full postcode returns few listings.
